Brand new tire....you bet I would plug it! Better yet, I would get it patched. That tire integrity yarn is a load of dung. I have never known anyone who has plugged/patched a tire to have any issues at all. It's your butt so it's your call but that's how I see it.

I got a nail in a new rear tire with less than 400 miles on it. Plugged it and never had any problems. But like someone already said, it your butt, its up to you. I just could not see throwing away a brand new tire.
Depends...I would plug it to get where I needed to go but I would be very wary...I would consider getting it patched by somebody who really knew what they are doing but would most likely bite the bullet and buy a new tire.
I wouldnt plug it. I couldnt be riding at warp speed thinking hmmmm I wonder if that patch job will hold? Nerve racking sheet. Suck it up and buy the tire...especially if you carry a passenger. Just pray to the tire gods that it dont happen again.
You could go buy one of those kevlar tires that are puncture resistant ..oh wait...I hear the stealer is selling special air that wont let your tires go flat!.....or fill them with cement..j/k
