Many people will tell you not to plug motorcycle tires, I got a 1/4 puncture on my rear tire a couple weeks ago, I have an indy patched the tire while I am waiting for the new one, took it on a 400 miles long trip, still looking good. It's ok if you want to get a brand new tire, what happen if you hit another nail in a month? get another brand new tire? I wouldn't

 

I have patched tires in the past myself and never had a problem. 400 miles on it I would patch it too.
