Default Hiding Deuce handlebar wiring

Anyone hide the wiring on their Deuce with stock bars? Just put on steel braided cables and now want to hide the wiring. Looks like I may need to add a little wire to the existing wire. Anyone make an extension kit or will I have to add the wire individually? What kind of wire do I need? Any tips or tricks?

You have enough wire there on the stock harness to get it done.

You would need to remove your hand controls, and the bars.

Drill the inner part of the dimpled spot where your controls mount. Inner being the portion of the dimple closest to the clamp. You may wanna go look at a set of predrilled bars at the dealer or bike shop to get a good idea of how it should be drilled. Its at an angle to work best.

Drill an oblong hole on the bottom of your bars dead center. I used a 1/4 drill bit and cleaned it all up with my Dremel tool.

Pull the wires from the connectors under the tank. I have to remove my tank to reach mine although others here have been able to simply slide the tank back.

You have a service manual? At this point all the wires have to come out of the two plugs to be fed through the bars and reconnected to the plug and harness.

Its a time consuming hassle but once rolling shouldnt take you more than a night in the garage. The end result will be a much cleaner front end!!

I couldnt imagine having all that wiring zip tied to my bars. Yuk.

Mean and Clean....Clean being the key word!!! Gonna yank my second throttle cable this week as well which will leave me with just two thin lines on the bike as me clutch is located at me foot. (Olde english talkin')

Yes I have the service manual. Just doesn't look like there is enough wire to make it. I'm gonna have the tank and controls off doing steel braided throttle and idle cables as well as fuel line and crossover line. Now is the time to do the wire hiding. Good tip on looking at a set of pre-drilled. Thanks

There is a lil' extra under the tank. You stick with those same bars and you will be all good.
