I had mine fixed a few weeks after I got my Heritage. The Service Manager told me it was a common problem...

I have an 05 Deluxe and the guage show empty with over 1 gallon still in the tank!!! and yes the damn light comes on!!! I will make sure when I go in for my checkup that they bend the damn float!!!
