Go to Heartlandbiker.com and click on 180/200 Bobber. They actually show a crossbones as the model. The fender and brackets only are $430, which does seem cheap considering the whole kit is listed at $2000, and the rest only consists of seat, springs, mounting hardware, and battery cover. But that's what the guy from Heartland quoted me.

Thats what I figured after I started looking at the website. The price has gone down, it is listed at $1,695 now.
Since you have a Xbones, that wouldn't be a bad idea since you already have the spring seat setup, but I have a NT that I am trying to make a bobber out of, so I guess I would still have to figure out a seat option.
I like the bobtail on the Xbones but of the two, Heartland looks best.
I think the front fender is the one that really needs a change on the Crossbones.

I think no front fender looks best on the XBones, so long as you dont mind a splash in the face every once in a while.
The shade tree fender is great if you want that slammed fender look. Also, as Cammy said, get it unfinished as you may want to modify it. He and I both took a couple of inches off it and grinded down the protrusion on the seam.
I paid for the painted fender, but it was very poorly done. The painter used the wrong color pin stripe AND forgot to paint the underside. Kyle said he got several complaints about this painter and now he uses a much better one. He also said he wouldn't contest the credit card dispute I filed asking for the money for the paint job back. That is still in progress. I'm sure he will stand by his word, but I'll let you know how it goes.
All in all, I think Kyle has the better looking fender, once it is all finished up.
I have been considering the shadetree fender, but was wondering if you can put a passanger on it or not (possibly with an aftermarker suction pillon pad?), if not this might not happen till she gets her own bike.
The one problem I see with the shadetree fender kit is that there isn't a replacement battery cover. That or you have to trim your original plastic one.

Even if it was strong enough, it would make for a real bumpy ride for the passenger. The fender and swing arm are attached. She would bounce up and down with the wheel on every bump. Thats why they had to make that special passenger seat for the rocker.

I went with the Shadetree! Kyle has the battery cover in the works.
Not only does Kyles fender look he best, IMO, but also he is great to work with!! Hopefully i'll be getting all m parts in and on soon so i can post some pics!! Going crazy looking at everyone elses bikes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, thanks all for great advice and opinions. What's making this harder than usual is that I've already slammed my bike 2" and I think the Heartland will hug the tire pretty closely, as well, and it is already a shorter fender. I did order Kyle's side mount license plate bracket with microphone tailight. I got the version that's horizontal and mounts to the passenger peg hole, and although I love what some of the members here are doing w/ brass, I went with the aluminum finish. So the process has begun. I will definitely order one of Kyle's battery covers whichever way I go. I'll keep everyone apprised and post pix when I start/finish. Thanks again, all.

that same rocker pillion would fit on the xbones with the shadetree fender as you would have empty strut threads were the old fender used to mount

dude dont get me wrong my intention is not to bash kyle or harm his buisness in any way but when you have paid top dollar for a custom part it pisses you of if its any thing other than perfect. and some of the things ive had have been far from it i really hope for your sake when you receive your stuff you dont get that feeling of dread when you open the box and excitement turns to despaire.
