Default Installing Passenger Pegs on 05 Fat Boy

I have a 05 Fat Boy Screamin Eagle that doesn't come with any pass. pegs stock.

I got a set of passenger pegs and mounting brackets at the dealer today. The mounting bolt is longer for one side than the other. Does anyone have a close up pic of their pegs mounted. I must me loosing it, but I can't figure out which hole they go in. None of them look like they will take a bolt this long. Thanks
Bill

Well on my 2000 Fatty, the longer bolt was for the side with the pipes. On my 2000, there was a separate triangular piece that mounted to the frame and then the stock pipe mounted to that piece. The longer bolt slides through a mount on that triangular piece and then into the frame. The triangular piece acted as a spacer. The whole setup extended out a few inches keeping the passengers foot a few inches out and away from pipe. I'm looking at some pics and I guess the 05 Screaming Eagle doesn't come with that triangular bracket setup since passengers weren't part of the plan.

Your bike... stock pipes??? ...after market??

When I took the stock pipes and brackets off, I ordered the same smaller length bolt from the opposite side and mounted the peg-mount direct. My after market pipes were low enough and away that an extension was needed.

Ok, so you probably don't need an extension (long bolt and or sleeve) as the pipe sits low and below the passengers foot. Just get another short bolt from Harley like the one you already have and you're good to go. Everything else you purchased can be used except the long bolt.

Be sure to come back and post how you made out or didn't.
