Default installing thundermax / autotune

i bought a second hand thundermax with autotune of another forum member and have only had chance to have a very quick look at it.....
is it really as staight forward as it looks or are there any hidden pit falls to this? it came of a fat boy i think so it will need to learn my system is there a easy way to do this?
any additional info to what i have already would be great

Load the disc and read the manual. Most likely a new map will be needed for yours. Do software and firmware updates from the software via internet before starting anything. This way you are working with current maps and info. Get a feel for how to do things before bolting it onto the bike. Less frustrating that way.

Read the instructions on the wire routing for the O2 sensors. The way they have it going doesn't make sense at first, but believe me going any other way on a stock bike is a lot harder in the end.

You also may find that the stock nuts to hold the ECM in place are virtually useless with the Tmax. The Tmax ECM is just big enough to make getting the stock nuts, with their built in washers on all four studs virtually impossible. I used some aluminum sleeve material or spacer tubes, cut down to between 1/2" and 3/4" on them with common hardware store (Home Depot) nuts and small split lock washers to hold the ECM in place.
They worked just fine for me.

Check thunder max on youtube. They (Zipper's) loaded some great installation and set up video's.

Your going to want to clear everything. Load a map that matchs your setup as close as possible, then clear all learned off sets, then run the IAC mode. it's all in the video's on youtube. it's A snap!

Hmmm. Not sure if you left some stuff out here or not, but it would seem you didn't You can't touch the throttle on first run to temp or on auto iac. Might give problems later.

Did ya check the video's?

follow their instruction and you should be fine. Do everything as they tell you to. I watched the video twice and made a list of instruction for myself.

here is the video

Also after loading a map and clearing the off sets, you must run the IAC auto to reset the offsets to your bike. Ya gotta follow the directions to a "T"
I'd tell you to start over from the beginning.
