Cammy sorry I got in late on this one... but it looks like you have everything under control!

I have heard rumors about the DTE firmware upgrade... but as of yet I have not seen anything....
I have always used a trip meter to keep an eye on the gas situation...

Since installing the TMax... my mileage has suffered a bit... so be on the watch!

Cammy Hi. I have some questions.

1/ Do you have the resistor/blanker/gizmo things on your muffler and intake connections to prevent any error codes throwing up?

2/ What kind of gas mileage were you getting before? I get around 45 mpg locally (christian units, not these shortweight US galleons) with just slip-ons on.

All the best with the fitting and running. I have been reading about TM with auto-tune for the last few years and it sounds the bollocks to me.

All of the tmax maps that I've looked at are rich at cruise rpms, which will kill mpg some. Fortunately you can edit in some leaner mixtures where you need them and reclaim it. Plus keep it running cool in traffic at the same time.
Look at the maps as a basic setting only. Since no two bikes are the same, or riding styles it's best to run it , change areas where improvement is needed, or desired. You can get the best of both worlds with a bit of playing with it.

bike is running awesome now..... spoke to randy at thundermax tech and man that guy gets back to you quick usually within minutes.....great product great service only one thing though....i have lost my mileage range on my speedo for now im sure with future firmware updates they will fix this.

thanks again mark you were a great help with this dude.

Glad I could help.

on the gas mileage, after doing some riding write your learned offsets to your base map, then reload and initialize the saved map. the system is only allowed to change by 20% . each time you save and reload it can learn another 20%. Your milage will come up each time you do this.
As you've seen Zipper's is always there to help as well. they are big on customer service.

hey walt
i havent done anything to the pipes at all apart from take of the stock sensors and replace with the thundermax sensors. there are no error codes showing initialy the engine management light was on but turns out i had a cable unpluged (DOHH).
as for gas mileage.....to be honest im not sure of figures which sounds dumb but i filled it up and rode the thing then filled it up again.
i will take note and get back to you dude im going to thunder in the glen on saturday which is about 200-300 mile trip for me so i will know better then.

Have a good one. I got back 2 weeks ago from my 'local' club rally in Leopoldsburg, Belgium. About 2,300 miles over the 8 days.

Stay in touch.

No need to reload the map. Writing the offsets makes a new map and continues from that point, but only to limitations of the afr maps. I don't have time for this nonsense, since it takes quite a while to create the initial offsets within the whole rpm range. Moving the blocks first to get the immediate results with later offest writing once you are happy with the map is faster. While writing offsets refines the existing map, you can't reach 14.2 for cruising afrs without first moving the blocks. Reference is required to create the offsets that will be later written if chosen to do so. At least, that's how I see it.
