Help with Thundermax please.
I've got a 2007 Nightster. \\; I've logged well over 1000mi with my Tmax w/AutoTune without so much as a hiccup. \\; Last week it started running really rough and wanted to die at a stop unless I kept the throttle on a bit. \\; Then the next light the RPMs wouldnt drop below about 2000. \\; Since then I haven't been able to get it running. \\; I've done all the basic steps, i.e., clearing learned IAC stops, re-loading the map, re-initializing, etc. \\; I can get it to start only if i give it a SLIGHT twist on the throttle. \\; When I get it running and lock the throttle screw so its idleing the throttle position reads about 14%. \\; If I let it go it will run REALLY slow...probably about 500rpm and then it just kind of dies out. \\; My IAC plunger seems to work correctly and I took off my A/C and made sure there were no leaks. \\; I'm kind of at a dead end and I'm starting to think there is something wrong with a part on the bike itself. \\; Does anyone have any other things I should check before I take it in to have it looked at?

Pop in the stock ecm and see if it idles normally. That will at least give an idea about whether it's the tmax or not. I'm thinking maybe the tps sensor, and if so it will run like **** with the stock ecm as well. You could also test the tps if you knew what the values are suppose to be with an ohm meter.

I did a few things and when I finally re-installed the stock ECM with the stock 02 sensors it fired right up. \\; It's been hit or miss with the TMax. \\; It actually had a bit of an issue starting one time with the stock ECM in there, too but I'm hoping it was just a fluke. \\; I talked to Zippers today and I'm mailing out my TMax to them. \\; I think I might send them my 02 sensors, too, just to make sure they aren't the culprit.  \\;

If \\;you (re)load \\;a map, you must be sure to clear all the \\;old (learned) offset's too,
because otherwise you installed a new map who's working with the old offset's.
