2001 Fatboy Carb
New member here, bike not ridden much , was missing bad would not run except on choke .Took to harley shop they rebuilt carb change plugs 250.00 ran good .put fresh fuel ,gas stabiizer ,bike sat 6 month same thing will not idle misses bad , I am going to change plugs I also bought sea foam .Can you tell me what to do from there,,,,, add seafoam through carb or tank? if need to drain tank how? if need to pull carb how. to me it seems somthing blocking the idle circuit. If you try to ride, it tries to die ,took it out to try to blow it out ,does not help backfires and misses at all rpms, thanks

To drain the tank, I've found the easiest way is to get a long funnel and unscrew the fuel valve on the clutch side of the tank. As you unscrew the valve, the funnel will catch the gas (small end of the funnel in a container). There is a filter up in the tank that could be clogged. Not sure if you have to replace the entire fuel valve or can just replace the filter but you could first try just cleaning it with carb cleaner.
To pull the carb, unbolt and remove the air breather, then unbolt the carb and pull it straight out. If you rock the carb to remove it, you may damage the intake gaskets. You can drop the bowl and clean it without removing the throttle cables. Give the carb a good spraying with Berryman's carb cleaner.
