Default Big @ss Rear Brake pedal mod ?

Good day troops!

I need ideas and solutions to swap out the big rear brake pedal pad for one a lot smaller on my 06 Heritage. I can't put up with the big ugly foot brake pad. I'd like to install a smaller HD skull foot brake pad on, but the metal brake lever and pad is all one piece (with the rubber cover on the end) so a different pad isn't an easy replacement job.

Will another HD model rear brake lever fit? Or do I need to chop off the end piece and flash up the welder to attach some sort of adapter to recieve the small skull pad.

I don't get a chance to contribute to the forum much because the work I do keeps me overseas most of the time. When I do get home to decompress however, all I want to do is ride my bike all the time......is this normal?

more to follow....

Chief

BUMP !

Is everyone just putting up with the stock rear brake peddle?
Does anyone have any constructive suggestions about how I can put a smaller one on?
Thanks!

This problem has been knocking around for a while.
I want to swap out my HD foot controls for billet ones to match my hand grips but this idea falls foul when you get to the rear brake pedal.
Off course the easy awnser (but expensive solution) is to change the forward controls but i aint got that kinda cash at moment.
I even contacted some suppliers in the USA but got no response (as usual)
oh well.........

Im running the Skull replacment pedal and even though I did not make it smaller I did move it in towards the bike 1" so more of the floor board is usable and it is more comfortable to use the Cruise Arms I have on the bike because the brake is not in the way.

I removed the Skull Pedal and cut 1" off the end of the actual brake pedal with a cutoff wheel on a grinder and elongated the mounting hole a little more and then reattached the Skull Pad sliding it in towards the bike as far as possible

10-4...THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I DID AS WELL. SIMPLE WAY TO DO IT. AN ANGLE GRINDER WILL MAKE SHORT WORK OF CUTTING THE PLATE DOWN TO SIZE. HACK SAW WOULD BE A LAST TOOL OF CHOICE BUT WOULD WORK. REMEMBER..."MEASURE TWICE AND CUT ONCE." GOOD LUCK!!

Replace or cut your existent brake pedal, do not weld, it is a safety part. I'd leave it as is.

I got it! I'm going to try that on for size. I need a little more room on the floorboards as well because I am using the Cruise arms as highway pegs!

OK, so I just hack down the stock break pad and slide the skull cover in a bit futher?

Can one of you guys post a pic to show how it looks?
That would be great!

Ok moving this to the top. Nobody sells a pedal with a smaller pad for us guys with big feet? Not interested in skull pedal, just something with black rubber on it about the size of a dyna pedal? Hate to mod the stocker.
