Default Skull Brake Pedal Pad - Poor Quality

I was tightening my shifter pegs and checked the brake pad which felt loose. So I tried to tighten it but it feels stripped or something has broken off inside. It will not tighten or loosen. I expect better quality from HD even on the Asian made accessories which I believe these are. At this point I am expecting it to fall off in the future which does not give me a warm fuzzy. If this does happen I will probably replace it with the stock rubber pad. I might call the dealer to see if they can do anything since I still have the receipt and it is only about 9mos old. This plan worked with a defective temp gauge I had.

Damn, I just replied in your other post about the shifter peg. When I was changing my Road King back to stock, My skull brake pedal pad did the exact same thing. What is probably wrong with yours is the same as mine. The nut which is attached inside the brake pedal pad has broken loose. It is going to be a b!tch to get loose. A tech at HD got it off for me and rewelded the nut....

Thanks for the info. I was trying to recall how the screw was held in. Yes that makes sense now. I may try and take it off. It is frustrating because I do like the look. I am going to call the dealer so perhaps this quality issue can get fed back to Milwaukee. Perhaps I will get lucky and they will help me out.
