Installed a new Se-11 cam in my 1999 80 CU carbed bike. Runs ok but at approx 3/4 throttle it seems to break-up I have re jetted the carb and put a high flow petcock but no luck any suggestions ? New rev limiter ? I can only get to appprox 85 MPH in fitfth gear then it starts breaking up. The only things that I have not done was Ignition System
Screamin' Eagle Street Legal Performance Ignition Module
Harley-Davidson Part Number 32630-96
$114.95
Ignition Coil
Screamin' Eagle Performance Coil
Harley-Davidson Part Number 31653-97
$49.95
These are the only parts that I have not installed for a stage II upgrade.
ignition module is a very good idea but don't buy the screamin eagle one it just won't cut it it doesn't have enough ajustablity. if your going to get one get the crane cams ignition module its the one you want. john golden from rolling thunder dyno's told me the same thing. take it for what its worth but thats what he said.
What pipes are on the bike? What air filter setup?
Use the S/E adj. ign module #32654-98 4curves & 4 rev limits. Plugs right in.
Sounds like the carbs still not jetted right.
