Default Turn signal / Speedometer troubles

A friend of mine is looking at a 96 Badboy. It looks and rides great but seems to have 2 issues. The turn signals don't flash and the speedometer doesn't work. The speedometer jumps up to 85 when its turned on and just stays there. No milage is added also. The setup on the lights are stock rear and no front. Speedometer looks stock as far as I can tell. Odometer is digital if that helps. I was searching around for some answers but now I think I have more questions. I am going to try and clean the sender at the trans for speedometer trouble but what about the lights? I tried to find a flasher but was unsuccessful. Where is it? And could the turn signal module be the fault. I was able to find it. Kinda hard not to, that thisng was large. Anyway thanks for help you can give.

Also, if there are no front turn signals, the turn signal module will not work properly. You either would need stock turn signals front and rear, or you would need a Badlands (or similar) turn signal load equalizer...

Just out of curiosity... Is this bike in Sonoma County? A friend is selling a '96 Bad Boy with a similar problem. On his, though, I thought the signals worked, but wouldn't self-cancel. I may be wrong, as I only rode the bike once, and that was months ago. It's a very nice bike, though. If I hadn't found my Night Train, I probably would have bought that one. I do recall his mentioning some sort of sensor being at fault for his. It didn't sound like a major problem, anyway. Aside from that, his bike rode beautifully. Whether your bike is his or not, good luck with it!
