I used a piece of 12 gauge wire to fish them through. After alot of f-bombs and other choice words I got them through. I took stock conduit completely off and placed a piece of tape about every 6" bundling the wires together tightly. A local wrench around here gave me that tip and I didn't even have to use baby powder or lube. Pain in the *** but you will feel better when it's done. If I had a nickel for every time someone asked me where my wiring is I'd be rich.

When I did mine the biggest problem was pulling through at the bottom and I finally pulled the wires back out and cleaned the exit hole with a file and smoothed the opening to a nice rounded edge and what do you know they pulled right through all taped together using an electrician fish tape.

thanks for all the replys.
i finally got them ran through friday night. what i ended up doing was pulling a string through with a vacum, taking the conduit off, tying the string to the wires, dousing them with baby powder and pulling like hell.
thanks again everyone.

Default easy way

Pulled off the conduit....used pieces of heat shrink all down the wires and then lubed them up with baby oil...can get kinda messy but the wires basically fell through the bars for me. Had a few friends try it that way and it worked great for them as well.

Sorry to bring up an old thread.

I'm a little confused on installing new handlebars. Is internally wiring the controls just an option for cosmetic purposes, and not needed to put the new bars on? If so, can I basically just unbolt all the controls off the stock bars and install the new bar, and just bolt everything back on?

How do the grips and throttle controls come off?

Thanks!
