I just bought an 07 Softail Standard from a private owner in Michigan. The guy I bought it from sort of "inherited" the bike from his nephew, who bought it new but was relocated to Afghanistan recently and decided to sell the bike. When I got the bike, he handed me several sets of keys, and two of the keys have metal plates with numbers on them but he does not know what they are for. I took them to a couple of dealers in my area, but they could not find anyplace on the bike that they would work either. The numbers on both keys are 133.
The only theory behind the keys is that there may have been some locking hardware on the bike when it was displayed on the showroom floor that the keys went to. The bike came with the mounts for the quick release Harley backrest, so maybe there were some locking bags on there at one time as well?
Paul, I'll try to take some photos of the key today and post em on here. I need an excuse to get my camera out and take some shots of my bike anyway...
