Maybe I trust too many people but I almost never lock anything on my bike.
How many of you have had things stolen off your bike? In all the miles I ride and places I go I never see anybody thatt draws my attention toward a bike that would make me thing they are stealing something off the bike. I was a trained observer for many years and can pretty much still spot a crook
So what you are saying is when you stop at a bar or restaurant you never lock your bags or even your tour PAC.. I always lock my bike down. Maybe I am just paranoid.
I've had that silly lock cover HD sells for your tourpack stolen twice - different locations too. Somebody just opens the thing and pulls - off it comes for a nice Harley souvenir. I almost hate leaving my helmet locked onto the bike rather than in the tourpack (when it is full of other gear). The only place I don't lock my bike up is at the Harley store. Anybody that wants to screw with someone's scoot in front of a Harley store is too stupid to live any longer...
I always lock my stuff, bike, car, truck, house...Had my home entered while I was gone...broke me of trusting people, sorry.
I pull the GPS off, lock helmet in tour pac...can't be to careful nowdays...
Bunch of public trusting folks here, I lock everything down unless it is in my line of sight and even then I at least lock the bars and ignition. Today I forgot the small cable lock for the helmets and was quite unhappy to leave them on the bike in a remote area unlocked. I live in Nazifornia and talking mean to a fhole who was ripping me off will probably wind up with me in jail. Why take a chance ?
I lock whenever I can or have that funny 'hair on the back of neck' sensation.
Fortunately for me, the only thing I've had stolen yet was the jiffystand 'puck' I was using parked in a loose dirt lot.... really?! took the puck? what the....
Did have my '56 'Bird' stolen once while I was in a theater... long story......back to your regular programming...
