Stopped at McDonalds yesterday for lunch and locked the bike up, came out to notice that some dirtbag popped my tourpak latches trying to open it... Tourpak was locked and so was the ignition and luckily they didn't swipe my Biketronic Raincover... It was probably better off that I didn't see who was messing with it, I am sure Police would have been involved if I seen it and took appropriate actions...

Had my leather throw over saddle bags cut off my bike may moons ago. (they were installed under the seat) Since I've had hard bags, (knock on wood) nothing missing. I am very conscious of where I park my bike and lock everything.

The only time my bike isn't locked up tight is when it's in MY garage.

I don't lock anything either, but maybe I should. I have more problems with the HD Mechanics leaving parts off.

it's ridiculous that we have to lock everything up but I'd feel pretty stupid if I didn't lock mine up and something was taken. Went to go to work a few weeks ago and found my car sitting in the driveway on bricks...no wheels. You can't even leave your garage doors open during the day any more. I don't even leave the bike in the driveway unattended any more. Sad that it's come to this.

I agree that it sucks to have to lock everything up and take extra precautions to keep our bags and tour packs from getting jacked. I had someone try to take my bags off while I was at work and it happened to be the one time I forgot to lock my right bag. Luckily I had a Brukus kit and it took them long enough for someone to spook them into running off. Since then I make sure I lock everything up and I try to park where the bike is visible.

A friend of mine had his (LePara) seat stolen overnight at a motel parking lot. His quick release seat screw made his bike an easy target. We were 1000+ miles from home. We got lucky and found a OEM seat in the local classifieds. After seeing my friend's misfortune I ditched my quick release screw and reinstalled the Phillips head screw.

Helping Harley owners keep their accessories is what we are all about. There are Brukus products to secure your saddlebags, seats, detachable windshields, tour pacs, sissy bars, luggage racks and now the Hardbag Defender secures the brackets for the lids on the hard bags.

Here is the HDForums discount page.

C&C Seats now purchases our seat securing products to sell with their seats.

We have seen the incidents of thefts increasing since we have been in business (which is almost 4 years).

And we now also represent FIN - Find It Now, USA GPS alert system so you know where your bike is at all times are alerted if someone is messing with it.
Our products make great stocking stuffers and we are keeping the free shipping within the U.S. through the holidays.

Thanks for posting this. You are not the first one who knows for sure that having our SaddlebagSecure prevented bags from being stolen. And in your case, if you would have simply had a thumb screw bolt - the bags would be gone.
