I always thought the CVO power locks were goofy till I had locking saddlebags and now I'm tired of walking around the bike and risking the black paint with the key every time. I'm sure there's an option...

We all like to think that nothing will happen and know one would mess with our bike, but; many have felt the rage of finding some low life has taken our hard earned property. For the few seconds, less than one minute to lock things is all it takes to make you a much less easy target. The piece of mind is comforting.

I ride with the bags locked, less chance of coming open, & have a GPS without the security screw. Common sense to lock the GPS in the tour pack if I'm away from the bike, so yeah, I lock things up.

I mostly lock my stuff. I have a buddy who never locks anything. His philosophy is who is stupid enough to mess with a Harley? I am waiting for something to get lost.....

I don't always lock the bars and ignition, but the bags stay locked and I lock the TP after I put my helmet in and get my iPad out. The alarm with smart siren and pager has alerted me when someone is messing with the bike, and I can take care of anything from there...but other than drunk college girls wanting to take pictures and parents letting kids crawl on it, never had anything stolen.

I did have a mother try to tell me how unsafe it was for me to allow my pipes and motor to get that hot and then park it where kids can play on it! Me trying to explain that maybe her rug rats needed to respect other peoples property...

I don't leave my goggles hanging on the bars anymore... as for the bike, it's not new enough or old enough to be a prime target.... and it's suede blue! That's the biggest theft deterrent!

Trust no one.

I lock mine really out of habit, I keep them locked in fear of them popping open while riding. Just last week I rode to a very popular riding spot (state Park) and I went for a hike. (was gone for about an hour) when I got back to the bike, it was very obvious that someone was trying to get into my tourpak. Both latches were undone and the lid was not sitting straight. Really surprised me, but being locked up saved me from a loss.

Dont lock anything, even the front door to my house, never had a problem, I figure if someone wants to take the chance and I see them or enter my house they will meet my 357 and Australian Cattle dogs lol. I do lock my ignition and always try to sit where I can see my bike if in a resturant, locks only keep honest people out, if a thief wants to get in your bike the locks are not going to stop him.

No locks on the saddlebags and tour pack on the Road King Classics. Not sure if any of the aftermarket lock devices are worthy of their costs. Anyone out there tried them?
