Security Siren - HELP
Hi all,
My bike is 07 NT equiped with the factory security system.
Last night i removed the battery and the security siren went on !!
how can i avoid this ??
edit: btw i checked the softail manual but nothing is mentioned (such important note should be there)

Yes.
If I remember correctly, the alarm/siren has a small battery enclosed in it, and thats why the siren went off. It thought someone was tampering with it.
I followed the steps in the manual as stated by jf above, and then removed the Maxi fuse. With the fob nearby, the alarm "turns off", and then you can disconnect the battery, or pull the fuse.

Man, this brought up some bad memories for my neighbors
. The correct answer is turn the ignition on to disarm the alarm system then disconnect the negative battery terminal. The bad memories come from me going out to work on my bike without my keys early (very early) on a Saturday morning and my girlfriend locking me out of the house not knowing I was outside.
