Hey Russell, did you get a chance to weigh that 21" x 3.5" spoked wheel yesterday?

No, I didn't.......Let me run out to the shed and get it.......

....OK, according to the bathroom scale, I need to cut back on the Boston Creme donuts, and the wheel & rotor weigh 23 pounds. The floating rotor isn't light, I'm guessing that's at least 5 pounds. The wheel is a 40-spoke 21x3.5" from Black Bike Wheels.

That surprises me. If your hunch is correct, that's a full pound heavier than stock. My RC Components 2-piece (non-floating) rotors are 1.9 lbs lighter than stock.

That's a total SWAG. I just remember them feeling pretty heavy when I put them on, and my hands (and memory) aren't really calibrated to feel a pound here or there.

Edited to add: And no, I'm not gonna pull the thing off and weigh it. But I bet a call to Zanotti's or another online retailer that frequently ships them could tell you the weight.

I've read u all have addressed the wheel issue correctly but pretty much negelcted the tire type... as I see it, putting a tire with a thin wall will have less grip during a turn than a bigger walled tire, I'm saying this because a thinner wall makes the curvature of the tire flatter, thus when u lean in a corner ur contact area lessens chich logically increases chance of slipping.

Hey fellas,
Here's a spin to the topic...
Can I switch out my Standard's front 21" tire to a heritage style tire? Are the forks the same size?
Thanks.
