Scared myself the other day a bit. On the way to work I went around a corner probably going 20mph. It was a bit faster than normal, but I go around that corner every day. Anyway, I heard a scraping noise, but didn't feel anything through the bike. When I got to work I looked and apparently I had scraped the end of the pipe a bit. It's a V&H Pro Pipe. I guess I assumed the pegs would scrape before anything else would.
are your pegs beneath your pipes
on my fatty the floor boards scrape first BUT if I lean it too far the pipes scrape oh I get it you are referring to the front pegs my bad(yea you would think the pegs woulda scraped first) maybe its was the contour of the road? As someone else in here stated the sparks are kinda cool in the dark.
be safe and keep smiling
thats riding....i love hearing that, it tells me im riding hard and having fun. although it happens also when the OL is on the back even when not riding hard, but its cool, noone will be looking under your pipes
Your pipes are ruined now. You should buy another complete set and send the damaged ones to me for proper disposal.
I am a licensed Harley exhaust disposal facility with the proper training and equipment to dispose of your exhaust system without causing any harm to our already fragile environment from the carbon that has built up inside the pipes.
If you like I can just stop by and pick them up so as to save you the expense of shipping them.
You don't have to thank me. I am happy to be of help.
