Default softtail ride created equal?

not talking about the different factory seats or tires, just the suspension.

i hear that a heritage is a great long ride back vs. night train, etc.... why?

If your not considering the different seats and the floorboards vs. forward pegs. Most of the ride quality differences come from the different fork wheel combinations..

The rear suspension is the same for all Softails. But the front end is a totally different animal.

The NT and other 21" wheeled FXST's Softails use the longer/skinnier FX (and more flexible Dyna type) 41mm Wideglide front forks while the FLST's Heritage, Fatboy, and Deluxe use the heavier/fatter FL front forks and its bigger tire.

I would think that the Deluxe and Fat Boy LO ride a bit firmer then the other Softails, because of the lowered rear ends.
