The two bikes have a very different feel. The only thing to do is take a testride on both and see which feels the best to you.

such a personal decision. I vote for the FatBoy because it is easier to handle, has floorboards that make riding comfortable and its a very stable
bike to ride. I wanted a train at first but chose the FatBoy due to its versatility.

Well given that they are both softails, the drive line is the same. I belive that 07 and later Fatboys and Trains both have a 200 tire on the rear so that would be the same too. Now the Train has forward controls and the Fatboy had boards. The Fatboy also has a wider front tire and forks like your Deluex that will have better manners on the highway and will plant itself better in a turn. The Nite Train has the skinney 21" front wheel with a wide glide front end that will handle better but will feel "looser" or less stable in a turn. In reality those are about it in differances besides the cosmetic stuff. Bobed rear fender on the train Vs. a fuller more wraped around fender on the Fatboy, drag bars Vs. buck horn bars Blacked out everything Vs some chrome. So those are the things you really need to think about and most of it comes down to type of front end with what type of riding you really want to do and the cosmetic stuff.

I preferred the NT, blacked out, forward controls (don't like floorboards),type of front forks, overall styling. But I do like the more stable ride of the 16" front wheel...so I think I ended up with the best of both..

I agree, you need to decide for yourself what fits you and your riding style. I have 25k on my fatboy, wouldn't trade it for anything...
