the fat boy feels a lot wider when you sit on it. i like the fat tire on the boy, but the black look on the train.

i went with the train because of the forward controls and leaner feel on the seat, but it was a close call because I have always been a fat boy fan.

also for me, the fat boy seemed a little harder to control. it felt a little heavy to me for whatever reason. I don't think they very too much in weight, but the train just felt better to me

Love my Fat Boy, and couldn't imagine anyone with a pulse wouldn't. Mine handles great on the twisties, as far as a big bike is concerned, and has all the power I need at this point.

Love my Fatboy . . . . . Though it would be kinda nice not to have to polish all that chrome.

you are just going to hear all of the fatty guys telling you how they would want no other bike and vice versa with the train riders. take em both out on the road and find out for yourself.

Love the Fat Boy. Took it into the Blue Ridge Mtns up on the Parkway for the 1st time this past weekend. It does a great job in the twisties and also is VERY comfortable riding 2 up on nice 2 and 4 lanes on the way there.

I'd say either get a fatboy or keep the deluxe. IMO the deluxe and Fatboy are quite similar. I gotta have a fat front wheel and some beefy forks to soak up the bumps.

Nothing wrong with wanting a new ride , but whyare you thinking about switching from the Deluxe to a Fatboy . Both bikes are the same bike with the exception of some sheet metal and some cosmetics , if your looking for a new feel/look go with the Nightrain .

Personally i would stick with your 2005 Deluxe unless it is a lemon , buying a new 2007-2008 Harley scares me - too many reported issues with heat , tranny , etc. . I would wait a couple of years and see how well the present designs hold up !

Big difference in the seating positions and "feel" of the ride. Sit on them and take a test ride. The NT made me feel meaner - fist in the wind riding postion/blacked out etc, than the FB did - but it made my back ache. The FB seat is wide and I had trouble getting both feet down - but I am a short leg. Good luck - nice to have decisions like this.
