Softail Convertible Seat

Seems some Fatboy owners are switching over. The seat bolts in place perfectly. Just wondering if anyone has done it and if so how well does it work on longer rides. I did sit on it at the dealer and it's almost too comfy which is why I'm asking.

Retail price is $299.95 / Zanoti's $256.08
Pillion price is $179.95 / Zanoti's $155.50

i use a mustang seat and love it. i run 2 up some times and have a 14in pinion and no complaints

What about the quick release pillion stuff? The CVO has that metal plate for it. Is that needed and mod the fender or are they just going without quick release?

Doobie, seat and pillion pad bolt right up to a 2007 up Fatboy. One caveat on the 2007 though, is if it doesn't have 2 thumbscrews on the back of the seat it won't fit. Some 2007's only had one screw on the back of the seat.

So, is the chrome plate on the CVO just a beauty plate bolted to the fender for when the pillion isn't on? If so, I wonder if that'd fit too.

I pulled the pillion on the convertible on the dealers floor and all I can say is the chrome strips are glued to the fender. Not removable from what I could tell.
