On my '93 Heritage to take off the seat there was 2 screws that screwed into the frame (one on each side) as well as the passenger pillion screw to hold the seat on....on the newer bikes......is it only one screw by the passenger pillion that holds the seat on and a tab that slides into the frame near the gas tank????
Also, is there a service manual for the 2010's yet? Or is it the same as a 2009?
Thanks!
PS..as you know Ijust bought a 2010 Heritage but I didn't pick it up yet from the dealer
I don't know but will take a guess. It would make sense that the 2 screws on the sides of the seat hold the front portion of the seat on and on screw holds on the rear on the fender.
As far as the manual I would imgine 2009 and 2009 are quite similar. I ride a dinosaur 2002 Heritage and have a 2008 bagger.
Here's a pic of my 2009 with the passenger seat removed. Notice they put clear plastic on the rear fender under the passenger seat to keep it from scratching. I put my paper work in a ziplock bag and duct tape it under the passenger seat.

thanks alot!!! I guess there are 2 screws that hold the driver seat.......does the passenger pillion also get screwed into the 2 screws when it is on the fender?
PS Great for HD to put clear plastic on the rear fender to avoid scratches!!!!!
The passenger pillion has two slots in the front that slip on to the two rear screws of the passenger seat. I take the passenger pillion off when I ride solo.

thanks again!!
I will post pics when I pick up the bike from the dealer....with about $2500 worth of chrome
our 07 driver seat front slide in grove, and the two bolts goes into the rear of the seat, then the rear pillion slips onto the top of the two bolts and a screw at the rear, middle of rear fender holds it down..
