From the pillion. I got the rubber bumper set from the dealer but I would rather go with the clear film option. Is there a part # for the Harley precut piece? Any other ideas? Gotta do it quick cause Mama wants to ride!
Checked with a local window tint place, they want $35 bucks for a 6x24 inch piece of the 3m stuff. i would have to do it in 2 pieces.
Ok, Problem solved for now! I got some closed cell weatherstripping that they use to seal truck caps...Ran a strip down each side of the saddle where it will rub...it doesnt seem too tacky but hopefully it will protect the fender from the leather on the seat! I won't be switching from 2-up to solo very often so if i have to do some adhesive removal on occasion, it won't be a big deal. Thanks for the advice!
I just have the two rubber bumpers in back, just took the pillion off to send it out and get recovered to match a new seat. The bumper was perfect, not a scratch. I did take off the grab stap when I first got it because it looked like it would rub the fender. 11,000 miles so I'm happy. You might want to check the grab strap.
