I'm new too. Glad to see some else praise the milage. I hope mine will improve now, I just found out that I didn't get the download from a dealer when they installed my longshots last year. Took it in for it's 5k check-up and had them check it over. The dealer that works on it is not the one I bought it from, so they were just checking every thing over like I asked them to. Ended up having to put a Stage 1 kit on it, but hope to see 50mpg on the hi-way now. Mines black and white and I turn heads when I ride local as the Police Dept. rides black and white also just reverse colors. Freaks every body out when I wear my leathers and helmet because there is an officer whose taller but you can't tell when he's riding. Enjoy your ride!
I got some Leatherworks bags installed when I was down in Myrtle for bike week06. They cost alot but I'm am now the awe of all my friends whos stock or harley bags are deteriorating. The quick disconnect mounting with steal plate reinforced bag ensures that's it's going to keep that shape forever. I talked with the owner. (a former marine) He explained the quarters as his trademark. It's how he and his wife signified their work when they started making bags in their garage years and years ago. I like tradition. American Eagle Leatherworks is the name. And I wouldn't put something other than the best on my Scoot.

Tedman,
those are the 120 Basket Weave bags from Leatherworks. the bags are really good quality and are mounted using easybrackets like yours for the same reason. Takes me about 20 seconds to put on/take off. Inside the bag is a thin zippered pocket I use for registratio/insurance info.
Very happy with them so far. Yeah, the deluxe is a great bike for all sorts of riding.
Would like to see a couple of pics of your bike and bags when you get to it.
Wife has 300 miles on hers in 3 weeks ...She is a new rider, so is taking it slow as she learns.
I finally get my 120 bags tomorrow. Unfortunatly, I'll be out of town so I can't install them till Sunday. I'll post pics once I do. Wifes is black pearl also, so the bags should look awesome on it. Next week it also goes in to get new bars, and braided cables in order to give herr an easier reach while riding.
