This bike just keeps getting better! My last tank of gas I got 49 mpg. I'm relatively new to this group, so as soon as I can get some pictures, I'll post in the new member area, as well as the Deluxe thread. This forum has already saved me time and money. It's great.
Arthur, which bags are those. I just bought some custom made bags from Leather Neck Jim's for touring with easy brackets 'cause I like the look without. Good looking ride you got; that's what I love about the Deluxe. The bike is so flexible regarding touring/boulevard/everyday travel.
those are the 120 Basket Weave bags from Leatherworks. the bags are really good quality and are mounted using easybrackets like yours for the same reason. Takes me about 20 seconds to put on/take off. Inside the bag is a thin zippered pocket I use for registratio/insurance info.
Very happy with them so far. Yeah, the deluxe is a great bike for all sorts of riding.
Would like to see a couple of pics of your bike and bags when you get to it.
Thanks all again for the welcome. Mine is Black Pearl 2005. I've got about 6500 mi on the bike so far, and am going to put at least 2500 more on going to Sturgis this year[8D]. Will definitely post pics when I get them (soon I hope).
