i just bought a new softail duece and i dont like the orange reflectors on the front forks.
how do i get these off? are they just glued on? i havent picked the bike up yet but i do know i want these things off!
What I've heard: You can heat them up a little with a blow dryer and then use a piece of fishing line (nylon) and work down behind the reflector breaking the double sided tape loose. Then you can use some type of cleaner like Bug and Tar remover or Goof Off to remove the sticky stuff that remains. I would test the solvent on an inconspicious place to make sure it does not damage the lower leg finish.
use fishing line tight against forks. Double sided tape holds them on and the more you get off with the fishing line the easier it is too remove the glue.
