I would 86 the windshield and look at some aftermarket pipes first, then you need to look around and get a feel or vision for what it is that you like/prefer.
There are tons of cool Rockers on this forum to get ideas from that's for sure. Look at El Gato Granda's bike.... Very nice, IMO.
Rubicon yers aint lookin to bad either! IMO I would start by covering up all the grey paint with black or something. Tank lift, 2n1 pipes (V&H), Thundermax or PC5 w/autotune, seat (sprung or danny gray seems to have pos feedback, SE aircleaner with black pre-filter sock cover looking thang. Thats what I would do but again I dont own a black rocker.
Lose the windshield, it's not that type of bike. I agree with what others have posted, except I'd keep the stock fender and remove license plate mount. Then add a spring seat like on Mike's bike. I'd go with Jesse James pipes powder coated red. Also JJ's front fender looks pretty bad ***.

Thanks for the input. The windshield is a matter of function vs looks.... some people like it and others do not. I just find it comfortable after traveling over 10,000 miles in the last 1 1/2 years. Currently, I'm looking for intake, exhaust, and remap of ECU. So far, my leanings are toward Reinhardts, V&H 2to1, or Supertraps Paul Yaffee 2to1. I don't want anything too loud, but definitely something that flows well with good backpressure and lastly sounds good. I'm not sure which way to go with the ECU. The choices that seem attractive are 1) Power Commander 2) HD download 3) HD Race ECU. Lastly intake, which I'm not sure of...only that it should be low restriction and looks good. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Oh yeah, the license plate has been removed and placed horizontally via Heartland.
It is all a matter of opinion and what you like, but IMO, Heartland is where u start. Alot of guys hate the grey, but that is the reason i did not want the C is because I no likey chrome. Besides the fact that they only made the grey 2 yrs.
But these guys told me my grey looked good, and will look better once the smoke paint job is added to the black.

Yes, if that smoke look is what is on the 09 SG (noted as pearl black, actually a very dark grey) will look absolutely stunning. Heartland is just down the street and Jake and Lonnie both have not only helped me, but since I'm a local (grew up in Gardena) they give me the "local discount". I've considered the Heartland conversion kit and believe me it looks great, but IMHO it would be a degression in technology. Effectively, I'd be making it into a traditional soft-tail. The basic problem has been the space between the seat and the fender. I believe I've solve this problem with the installation of the Shotgun Shock which allows me to ride with a minimal amount of space between the fender and seat without bottoming out the suspension. I'm with you on the grey, low maintenance is my bag. The grey is somewhat like white. DIG IT, have you seen chrome on white vs chrome on black. I like chrome on white, black on chrome shouts out tooooooo much for me. Black on black is definitely brutish, but a lite color with tasteful amount chrome to me looks classy. In the end it is a matter of what you like, but in this case like Frank L. Wright beauty is when "form meets function". Thanks for your and everbody's input...I need more. I have nobody to bounce these ideas off. Many thanks too all.
Search & look, search & look, search & look... Take your time. You will find many amazing looking Rockers, other softails, dynas etc. to get ideas from.
It's not necessary so that what you like in the beginning is what you want to end up with (it never ends by the way but it could save you some $$$).
