I think that the redline shock proof is over rated. I put some in my tranny after reading everyone say how good it is and I really dont think it makes that much difference. Maybe for the first twenty minutes of riding it is better but after an hour or two I dont think it makes one bit of difference. That is just my opinion though.

isnt it the first 10 minutes or so were engine wear takes place as its heating up?
