Default Battery ???

I have not been on my bike in about 2 weeks or less but my battery is dead. Can you use a car charger to charge a motorcycle battery? As long as its 12V would there be any problems? Thanx...

I don't see a problem with that as long as you keep the amperage low. Don't use anything over 40 amps

I tried to do this in 2nd gear and my rear just slid. My dash lights barely come on. I then hooked up my car charger on the start position and left it on for about 10 minutes or so. Lights were brighter but i got a couple of cranks and then nothing but clicking. Should i just let it charge a bit more then try again? I called a buddy and he told me that a car charger will burn up a HD battery is this true?

Well i put my charger on 10 amp and i tried it again got a few more cranks than before. I guess i will just wait longer and try again. Just wanted to make sure i won't burn anything up with a car charger.

Bump start it and ride it to the dealership and have them warranty the battery.

you can use your car battery to jump start your battery on the bike...just make sure you just connect it to the car...do not have the car running if you decide to jump start it
