Be very careful using your front brake in slow speed maneuvers. Use it very lightly or not even at all.

Good luck on the turn. I wouldnt want to take the test on a strange metric bike, that would really throw me a curve. "Run what ya brung". Your bike looks nice, ride er.

and get yourself some engine guards to keep from scraping up your bike until you have it mastered. (if you don't already have some)

I agree with the others that suggested taking the MSF course. I think it should be a requirement for any new rider. I took a break from riding for a few years and re-took the MSF basic course last year...I learned things that I never knew before and learned several techniques that saved me from wrecking my bike already. Worth every penny.

I'm trying to sell a sporty right now and if a new rider ends up buying it I'm going to pay for the MSF course for them..

I understand your troubles.

The MSF course is a good option. Around here, they let you ride their bikes (small cc enduro) for the practice and test.

Hang in there, and you'll get it.

Remember . . . Head up - Eyes on target - Control speed with the rear break . . . and ride like you know what you're doin'

It's the same as a U turn but abit shorter stopping on one side.

You guys are awesome! I appreciate all the encouragement and will definitely let you know when I'm officially ALL legal!
