Whats up Guys....I'm changing out my Handlebars on my 07 Softail Custom...and
I have a couple questions...
What is the stock height of the Customs handlebars.......10" ??
I'm thinkin' about going to 14 or 16"....so is there a place where I can find
out the correct new cable length without installing the bar first AND THEN measuring ?
Theres a guy on E-bay that sells the various height handlebars WITH the correct
new cables and extra wire....just not sure as of yet I like his brand....
any other comments about the change out appreciated........thanks

I have an 08' FXSTC and I converted to 16" WILD 1's. I do not recall the exact length of the new cables, but they were all 6" over stock. The clutch could have stood to be a little longer (maybe +8) but it works fine with +6 and conservative routing. You need to consider your risers as most APE's will not work with the stock nuckle risers on the Custom.
If you are referring to "Hill Country" they sell great kits and can swap just about any parts to a manufacturer of your choosing (though the price will change). I did NOT use Hill Country and that was a mistake. The kits look "competative" until you order everything yourself. Then you realize the true value. Just my .02.....hope it helps.
