thanks evrybody....After sittin and thinkin and a couple of jack n cokes i have made a decision. My wife is gettin her own bike, so she won't be ridin with me that much and i don't tour alot,no more than 600 miles in a day, longest trip on a Deuce with 18 inch apes and was comfortable. So I'm gonna get the Cross Bones. i feel that there is so much more i can do to it.

Good choice...but have you looked at the FB Lo? It's got the "dark" thing going on, so it may turn out to be the best of both worlds (I've seen a couple really nice ones on the forum). However, the springer front end is hard to beat...

when i got my fatboy i drove it about 6 month earlier and then when ready to buy i drove the RK. different as my sportster. I felt in more control on the fatboy and i wanted to have luggage only when traveling. your first pick is usually the best

+1 on test riding the bikes. X bones is a cool bike but the springer front rides different. If this is something that you do not like then it would suck getting one. IMO the springer front is ****!! If I could have gotten my hands on the deluxe that had the springer I would have.

In the end its your money but you are looking for other peoples opinion so here is mine. If I got a fatboy the first thing I would do is take off the solid rim wheels and the small front fender. Put on a heritage or deluxe and slam it. Then again that is why I bought my deluxe!

If i got a xbones it would be mostly cosmetic. You are going to spend a ton of money mind as well get the bike that is close to what you want as you can get!

Good luck and let us know what you get!
