Default AN+Mikuni

I installed the new big sucker, but there was no big "wow" effect. Just a little better in the mid range. I am thinking about either one of these:

Or a 42 flatside Mikuni (mucho dineiro, senior). Would my new A/C atleast fit the Mikuni without purchasing more mounting kits and what not?
Should I give the tuning kit a shot before looking into a new carb? I had a S+S on my EVO, and wasn't really happy with it either. I'd love a weber, but they are just unaffordable right now.

I got my 42mm mikuni and already had the screaming eagle high flow kit... My bike gained kick big time. I paid a lil' over $400 USD for my carburator at that time (in an HD dealer), they had the chromed version fo lil' less than $500 but my filter cover won't let that shine, so there was no reason for the bling.

Mimo.

If you buy the #42-18 I think... It's the Mikuni 42 EZ Kit... comes with a adapter so you can still run your new AC. I just installed one a few months ago and it's a day and night difference in perfromance... You can get them on Ebay for about $360 to $380. With the EZ Kit you can also run your stock cables... Unlike the S&S carbs.
