Default Input needed on Fairings for 07 Heritage

I am thinking about getting a fairing for my wifes 07 Heritage. I am looking for opinions on what to buy and why. She rides every weekend and we are planning a trip to Yellowstone next summer. Wondering who likes their fairings and why. Thanks

I installed a fairing and stereo system from wide open custom. I bought it for occasional use but found I rarely take it off. I constantly get compliments on it. Wide open has the best prices and have treated me right. Fits like a glove and can remove it in 2 minutes if need be.

I've been thinking about getting one myself. I kind of like the looks and price of the Dragonfly, but I'm going to check out the Wide Open Custom that was mentioned. Good luck.

2009 Heritage with stock windscreen - added HD chrome wind deflectors and 5 minutes to install them. They WORK and have significantly reduced buffeting.

Try 'em out, if she's not happy, it's only cost you $70.

I am currently evaluating DragonFly fairing and Tsukayu Fairing (with GPS). High price. Do they value their price. Has anyone experience with one of them ?

I put a Memphis Shades fairing on last May -- had it striped to match the stripe on the bike -- and took it on a 2000-mile tour around the southwest. For the money it's a very high-quality piece. As far as looks, that's in the eye of the beholder.

I ended up taking it off, though. Right now it's on a shelf in the garage. For one thing, the H-D chrome wind deflectors won't fit with the fairing mounts, and I was getting a lot more wind coming up from the bottom, even with the additional deflectors on the Memphis Shades fairing. For another, you lose the dramatic effect of the chrome front end by essentially covering it up, which cost quite a bit and is a shame to hide.

My windshield is a CeeBailey's 18" high 2" wider than stock, and together with the chrome deflectors gives great protection.

All that said, I was just out in the garage looking at the batwing and giving serious consideration to putting it back on. (Hey, it took me 2 1/2 years to get the highway pegs at the precisely right angle -- and then I bought new boots and had to begin all over again!)

Here's how the bike looked with the batwing, set up for touring. Its present look is in my signature pic.

I've got a Dragonfly on my RK, and a friend at work is putting one on his Heritage. I picked Dragonfly because they are seriously stout, and I think they are closest to the HD fairings in appearance. Their inner fairing is the best looking of the bunch, and that's what I see most of the time. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.

The folks that work there are really good people and easy to work with.

Looks great OBP...
Looks like and a softail and a glide, or a Softgilde, LOL.
I like it. Very cool. I'm impressed. Nice work.
Like the RS air cleaner too. Any issues with the open sides on it?
Was thinkin' about adding that on my new S/G.
