Default Stock Deuce seat

How comfortable is the stock seat on a Deuce. The seat I have just kills my tail bone in about 20 miles, I have come across a pretty good deal on a stock seat but want some feedback before I jump at it

The stock seat is allright still gets uncomfortable at @ 50 miles. Tried the Danny Gray weekday 2-up.....was a little better. Tried the Ralley runner seat for longer runs was only a little better. The best seat I found was a Corbin young guns (for style/comfort) I run a Danny Gray solo for around town. They say the Sundowner is the most comfortable but I just can't deal with the looks of the seat.

I just got an 04 deuce and don't even have it registered yet. Still waiting for the title to come from Harley. But I am following to see what works. Mine has the Corbin solo which seemed very cumffy when I took it for a test ride.

I have a C&C solo seat, stock seat and the sundowner. The sundowner is by far the best seat I've ever had on any bike I've owned. I just had Russel daylongs built for my BMW, to the tune of $800, and that doesn't even compare to the sundowner. Granted, the Russell does look better, but when your butt's on the line, I can live with ugly.
The C&C is more than fine for a quick 200 mile ride, and I've done as much as 800 miles in two days on it.
Stock, my opinion only, is an adequate seat, but certainly not with a passenger. I find myself switching back and forth between C&C & Sundowner.

I can get a almost new stocker for $45.00, Think I may grab it,,,for that price I really can't go wrong. I would have to see and test sit a seat before I would drop $250 + on it

Stock seat works for me. Tailbone issue is likely from the riding postion is general. Not sure a different seat will completely cure that. I can attest that the tailbone does experience some discomfort after a couple hours. At $45, sure worth a try.

Well not sure how I can change the riding position without a different seat.

I would think a different seat will be more or less a butt fitting situation rather than changing of the riding position. If you look at the way you sit on a Deuce, there's no getting around the fact that the weight is on your tailbone. A different seat may help your posture or give more padding, but the general riding position will be the same, I would think.

Maybe changing the bars to something taller will sit you up straighter and move your weight off your tailbone and more onto your glutes. Just a thought

Looks won't get you comfort / stock won't get you looks
try the stock for 45 more padding it's not a total fix but it will help
