Anybody have problems with 07 softail coils? Went to start the bike yesterday and had no spark so went looking through the service manual and checked the coil spec is 0.5-0.7 ohms I have 5.6 ohms. Called 2 local dealers and neither had one in stock was looking online and seen the part number has been superseded. So just wondering if this is a common problem and if anybody else has had to replace theres.

 

only thing i had to change was the cheap plug wires. i went to the screamin eagle and they start and run much smoother

 

Were u getting no spark with the stock wires ? If so I will have to check that way, I never checked at the coil I only checked at the plug end of the wire.

 

Iam not great with ohm meters, but are U sure u had the right setting...The 5.6 reading U got if not set correct could be .56ohms. Just wondering if so it would be within specs.

 

No I had 5.6 but I think I was testing it wrong. I was testing terminal to terminal.
