Default Fatboy Front Axle Question

I have an 08 fatboy. Im looking to swap out my Willie G axle nut covers for some spikes and they come in 3/4", 1", and 1 1/8". If im not mistaken, my bike has a 25mm front axle which converts to just shy of an inch. Can someone confirm if the 1" covers will work. Thanks

I just got some front axle spikes for my Fatboy. I got the 1 1/8" for the right side and 1" for the left side. The one on the left side won't quite fit over the nut. It probably needs to be 1 1/16" but they don't make that size. I'm going to get the dremel out and cut some grooves on the inside where the corners of the nut go. Will be doing that tomorrow (swapped handlebars today and ran out of time). I'll let you know how it goes after I try it.

After looking around, i think the 1 1/8th is what fits the newer bikes.

You're probably better off just getting the 1 1/8" size for both sides. I dremeled mine this morning to make it fit. It worked but was more work than it was worth. I just thought the fit of the 1 1/8 on the left side was a little sloppy, you may need a little longer set screw on that side.

Hey drawdown, it appears you've lowered your rear. Did you use lowering shocks. Nice look.

Also, are you selling the willie G nut covers? I need a pair.

Nice looking ride.......

I had bought the 1" and 1 1/8" and ended up having to throw the 1" into a lathe to bore it out. Just get 1 1/8" for both sides and you will be just fine. Are you looking at the Hammer spikes thats what I got and man are they sharp I now have 2 scars on my shin to prove it. Ahh the price we pay to look cool

That's funny, those are the ones I got and the matching grips too. I've hit my ankle once and my head 3 times on the tip of the grips while working on my bike. That $hit hurts(LOL).
