Thanks for reply RNBONES. Problem I have is it tends to rain a bit over here (okay it rains most of the time over here,) so I need to keep the electronics dry. Do you think your ECM relocation would be in a dry spot? Was trying different things with the seat as well. Got an old style leather seat and tried it mounted with springs on the frame (no bracket) and with stock front mount I think back is too low, you prob. be sliding off the back all the time. I was thinking of mounting a tool roll or something like that on mine to fill the gap between Seat and fender and maybe even putting the ECM in it. Still at the Looking and thinking stage though.
sorry about the late reply bro.......totally didnt see this thread for some reason
WOW....... that bike is sweet. i really like those floorboards pity i cant order em from you know who! i like the brown leather on the bike very much. i thought about brown and *****'d out so good on you for having the ***** to come away from black. i have lost alittle interest in my bike just now cause its away for the winter and i am totaly skint. the passion will return once work picks up and the sun comes out though.

Irish, i'm loooking at my bike now and i'm thinking your def. gonna get it wet if your riding in the rain! You may be able to get away with putting it over the battery if you do some sort of custom battery cover, say like a leather one? not sure how it would look but its a thought. I also thought about the tool bag and i still might go that route! keep me posted on how yours turns out.

When I did mine, I had my indy cut the OEM splash guard. I also mounted the ECM behind the oil tank, and then put the cut splash guard over it. Looks good, cleans it up and keeps things dry. FWIW.
i got the thundermax with autotune module plus a stabilizer module for the lights under my seat and after a bit of jiggery pokery the seat pan sits fine. the thundermax module sits just behind the battery above the fuse box. its as water proof under there as harley made it in the stock position
Thanks! That looks real good. It definitely cuts down the empty space. How does that seat ride? Does it bottom out pretty easily, or are those springs pretty firm?

I rode about 100 miles yesterday like you see it. It wasn't too bad, the only real rough spot on the seat is the rear lip. It rubs the center belt loop and is a little irritating. The springs have some give in them, so my friend says who was riding behind me, but didn't bottom out.
I am going to wrap the seat with some leather soon.
