Night Train Windshield Suggestions
I have the same one. Works fine.
Just get a 3/4 or full face helmet. That is all the windshield you need. The HD quick release runs about $450. They are nice, but you can find something similar for half the price. Google the crap of it.
A 3/4 or full helmet does nothing to reduce the wind blast on your chest, so no, not really a windshield replacement at all.
I use a 16" tinted Windvest, that does a decent job at keeping bugs and crap from hitting me in the face and cutting down on the blast at highway speeds. It also blocks rain, so that it doesn't feel like getting hit in the face by thousands of needles when I get caught in a downpour.
If you do nothing but barhop, don't waste the money on a windshield. If you plan on going on long trips, they make the ride far more comfortable, and you'll find you're much fresher when you get to where you're going.
