NT,
I do love your sig and you are right in many ways.
I do love to ride and that's all that matters. Been riding since I was 12, just turned 52...and love every minute I'm riding.
In the end all that matters to me anymore is being able to hold my kids and wife and tell them I love them. I've lost too many before their time....once they're gone you can't hold them anymore.
Ride safe my friend.
Good attitude there, friend...I just turned 60, but got a late start riding at 17 and don't know what I'll do when someday it'll be over...lost some good friends along the way, too...
But the only constant is family...got 2 daughters, a grandson who thinks I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread, and a beautiful new 3 month old grandaughter...life is good!
And btw..."Camel Toe Jockey" ?? That's priceless! : - )
Sorry, but that "good 'ol days" stuff has gotten lame. Funny how "let the rider decide" only applies if you're in lockstep with a certain set of beliefs.
I agree. Some people on HDF are the first ones to say 'ride what you wanna ride' and then turn around and bash the Sportster rider for riding a 'chicks bike.'

HAHAHAHAHA I'm not judging because it would be hypocritical from what I said above BUT I can laugh nonetheless. Thats fcking funny.
I haven't been on here too long, but this happens every time someone mentions putting bags or a shield on anything other than a heritage. Someone asks for everyones opinion. People give their opinion and then the fight begins. Will I put a windshield or bags on my Night Train, no. Do I care or think less of anyone who does, hell no. To each is own man. I personally wouldn't ride 80% of the bikes on this forum, but that is the beauty of Harleys. Everyone is different and every rider has a different sytle. Just because I don't like the looks of someones bike doesn't mean I don't want their opinion on stuff.

Yup, I bet the fashion police are as thick here as they are on the Ladies Home Journal site.
haha.... I spelled it like that cuz i didnt think it would let you put ***** on here....but anyway, does anyone have a shovel mines wore down to the handle.........................................as far as shield go i like the super sport one from hd it unclamps and leaves no hardware.......any other brands do the same????...........its going to be in the 40s soon and would be nice
Yeah, I have to admit that for a forum where most topics are just an exchange of opinions, there's always a few people who seem to look for an opportunity to take offense, and then it's on...
I think people take this internet stuff way too seriously, and probably the anonymity of the net drives a lot of it...
I'm convinced that if 99% of us met in person, we'd be appreciating the differences in each others rides, and keepin the road hot...
There's no hardware left behind with the Windvest. There's 4 Allen screws that hold the thing on that can be a PITA to put on some times given the angle of my risers.
The clamps on the H-D SuperSport shield are nice, but I don't like the way the shield looks. Of all of them out there, the Windvest was the least ugly to me.
so it is attached to the riser and bar or??.......i have short risers and apes would that fit..........and is it cheaper then hd's dont care for looks as it will only be used in winter or till the snow flies
