Looks like I will be stuck with the oem fender for a while, so I wanna dump the hideous tail light and do something a little nicer looking. I like the look of the HD tri bar light, but 230.00? Any other options out there for a good looking smoked lens tail light? Prefer something a little lower profile, but anything to get that giant piece of plastic off the back!!
Your not alone there, that's why I went with the Tri-Bar light.
But if you shop around you can get one for under (not much) $200 like I did.
Just check out Zenottis or Chicago HD, both will sell you good parts for a decent discount.
However if your good at fabricating you might try something like these guys are playing with.
Do a search of the forums and you'll find that's not the only one.
There have been quite a few threads on Softail tail lights with some interesting ideas.
Ya just gotta do a little digging to find one you like.
