I am relocating mine as well. Thought about going under the forward controls, but worry about some jack *** not seeing my signals. Any thoughts?? If nothing else, Ill just throw them on the forks.

That has been my main concern since I relocated mine from the grip's level to under the passing lamps... That the driver in front can argument not seeing the blinkers and changing lanes when I'm passing them... In here white strobes are not illegal (like yellow or red n' blue would be) I'll put some in my engine guard to alert cagers in front, not permanently on, but activated with a momentary switch just when passing...
I relocated mine to my work bench. But if I did use them I would put the small signal bar under the trees and mount some small ones on the rear struts.
Thanks Mimo - some flashing white would be awesome, may look into my state's laws. Gunner, what size bolts did you use? Do you have pictures?
I used a 5/16"-24 SS bolt with the head cut off. I don't have any pictures but I got the idea for this mod here on the forum and I know there are some threads that deal with this which do have pictures.
I got some Kury LED mini bullets coming that will replace the SL fore and aft. For those, I do believe I will have to get a combination 3/16"-16 for the SL and on the other end a 5/16"-24 that goes into the tins.
