Default Question on wheel install

when installing my new wheels, do I need to grease the bearings or inside the hubsa? I can't find anything in the service manual on this.

No, they are sealed and a press fit. Anti-sieze on the axles is always a good idea though.

You need to apply a thin coat of anti-seize on the axle and inside of the axle sleeve/spacers. Nothing needed for the bearings.

thanks, I have the anti-seize. Is there a difference in regular anti-seize and copper anti-seize? The tube I have doesn't say copper on it.

I was wondering the same thing when I did mine a few weeks back so I went to HD and bought what they recommended and it did not say copper anti-seize and they said that is what they use (same stuff you get at Autozone).

Regular anti seize is fine for axles. I apply a liberal amount as I had an axle rust to a bearing a ways back. That was a bitch to get off.

It makes no difference for this application. The copper (Permatex) is for high heat situation, like exhaust flanges. There is also an aluminum variety (e.g., Noalox) for when you also want the anti-seize to be electrically conductive ... like spark plug threads.
