Man I gotta get this brake pedal forward of the center of the footboard ('02 Fat Boy)
Will a late model FL pedal bolt right up?
Thx in advance, Rich

Let me be a little more specific.
I'd like to pick up an OEM pedal on Ebay (or here for that matter)
What pedals work on a cramped '02 Fat Boy board?

I dont think a FLH brake pedal will fit. Look at Walters Workshop, Kuryakyn or SoftBrake they all make extended pedals for your bike

hmmm. not sure about that, my EZ brake pedal was for softail and FLH models also... Check carefully it may be a different part number in the catalog but the exact same piece in two different bike families, it wouldn't be the first time that happens.

Mimo.

Second the EZ Brake. They make nice quality stuff. If yoau re feeling cramped, you might want to try some floorboard extensions. They relive that cramped feeling too.

After years of wanting a better brake pedal, I tried a few things. A friend gave me an extended brake lever from his touring bike. It ended up being about the same as my stock 2003 Heritage lever. The older Touring brake levers were about centered on the floorboard. The 2000 to 2008 bikes have a mounting point for the brake pedal that is more forward than the same year softails.

I finally bought an EZ brake and had mixed thoughts on it. It was extended, but I could no longer place my boot under the pedal. I lost floorboard real estate. I got used to it, but wasn't 100% thrilled.

Later my brother took a Bubba's brake lever off of his softail and gave it to me. This was what I was looking for. It moved the pedal forward of the floorboard. I have the one that came with the oval pedal which I don't like and does not lend itself to being replaced with a Harley pedal. I just put it one to try and will not take it off. I do notice more flex with this pedal, which troubled me at first, but I do like it. I see that Bubba makes the extended arm designed for a stock style pedal now as well.

Comparison pics are too big for attaching. Bubbas site shows difference between stock and their units.
