Brake Pedal Problems

I have grown tired of having to raise my leg up to apply the rear brake on my 00 ultra,I have been looking at kuryakyn pedalsand was wanting some input on a couple of different ones.They list an extended brake pedal that sells for about 70 bucks or an e-z brake that sells for twice the price.Does the phrase you get what you pay for apply here?

I have been looking into the E Z brake. Looks relatively easy to install with basic hand tools and sets the pedal lower and forward. Much more ergonomicly correct for us old codgers.

The pedal on the older Ultra is shorter than the newer bikes. I replaced the pedal on my '01 ultra with a longer pedal from a newer model, made a difference for me. I think '02 is when the longer pedal was stock. Watch on Ebay and you can get one for less than $20 shipped.

E-Z brake is the way to go my leg loves it, lots easier to stay in the zone. 07 flhc little bit of a pain to install,my 2penny

I went with the E-Z Brake and I love it. I can't tuck my fun under the pedal any more but the trade off is more than worth it. Here is the thread that has a couple of pics including mine.

The install was relatively easy. Biggest PITA was the cotter pin.

I too have the e z brake, love it, in fact it was the first mod I made to the bike. As far as I'm concerned, it's a safety upgrade.

Hey Qjet, PM me if you're interested in buying a stock brake and pedal that I have off my '07 Road King. I believe its a extended reach that HD uses as stock. The reason I know is because I bought a non-extended reach billet brake lever and it was too short so I sold that and bought a new billet ext. reach which is coming in the mail from Zanotti's - soon I hope.
